We have been singing this song for the past 10 years or so at our parish during the Advent season. It works well with both adult and children’s liturgies. . . The Piano figure that is used in the intro and interludes between verses is quite nicely done on the flute or violin.
I’ve had children do handbells on this piece. We’ve used the Suzuki Tone Chimes

The “MARANATHA MASS” has served our parish of Christ The King for many years now and in doing this revision for the New Roman Missal I discovered very little was needed to change because we don’t sing the Glory To God during Advent. . .
In this YouTube video you will hear all of the parts of the mass. . . The “MARANATHA MASS” is available for licensing to parishes.
The psalm appointed for this day is Psalm 98 “All The Ends Of The Earth”

On Sunday Dec. 25th 2011 we celebrate the Christmas Mass at Dawn. The Responsorial Psalm appointed for that day is Psalm 97 “A LIGHT WILL SHINE ON US TODAY” I arranged this Psalm setting with familiar music from the classic Christmas Carol “GESU BAMBINO”
On Sunday Dec. 24th 2011 we celebrate the Vigil of Christmas. The Responsorial Psalm appointed for that day is Psalm 89″Forever I Will Sing” The music for this Psalm is the same for the Fourth Sunday of Advent.
Here is a Christmas song that I composed well over 20 years ago and it has become a sort of “standard” in our parish. At the time I composed ‘THIS IS THE TIME” I asked my family to all write down those things that instantly came to mind whenever they thought about Christmas time and those thoughts formed the basis of this song. . . Sheet music for this song can be purchased $5.00 by simply going to this site: www.ukulelemikelynch.com and pay thru the PayPal donate button. . . be sure to indicate it’s not a donation but rather to purchase the music for “THIS IS THE TIME”
On Sunday Dec. 4th 2011 we celebrate the Second Sunday of Advent. The Responsorial Psalm appointed for that day is Psalm 85 “Lord Let Us See Your Kindness” Below is an image file of the psalm which can be saved by right clicking, “save picture as” then printing out. I will be posting these regularly giving music directors a week or 2 or more to be planning, preparing and rehearsing these settings.
Here is my Thanksgiving gift. . . I wrote this song over 15 years ago now and it has been a “standard” in our parish every Thanksgiving morning. Typically we might sing this song together as food offerings and such are brought up to the sanctuary. . .
