The setting offered here is one that I composed 40 years ago and is found on the Ellis & Lynch recording “There’s A Time, There’s A Moment” Below is the PDF file of this psalm as well as a JPEG image.
We have been singing this song for the past 10 years or so at our parish during the Advent season. It works well with both adult and children’s liturgies. . . The Piano figure that is used in the intro and interludes between verses is quite nicely done on the flute or violin.
I’ve had children do handbells on this piece. We’ve used the Suzuki Tone Chimes

The “MARANATHA MASS” has served our parish of Christ The King for many years now and in doing this revision for the New Roman Missal I discovered very little was needed to change because we don’t sing the Glory To God during Advent. . .

On Sunday Dec. 25th 2011 we celebrate the Christmas Mass at Dawn. The Responsorial Psalm appointed for that day is Psalm 97 “A LIGHT WILL SHINE ON US TODAY” I arranged this Psalm setting with familiar music from the classic Christmas Carol “GESU BAMBINO”
